Grandparents - Abuelos

Oh the joys of summer! Not knowing what day it is, not answering emails or phone messages...!! hehehe Not being pressured to be available 24/7!! I am enjoying a few days back home and today I am writing to show you another ´vintage´ project I created before I left. A few really good old pictures of my parent´s parents came through my mail a few months ago and I just knew I had to scrapbook them.. bring the past to the present! I thought they would make an ideal gift for my parents and so it was! I even bought and IKEA frame for both and took them all the way with me on the plane (man they were heavy!!) But it was so worth it! They loved the layouts! 
My mother´s layout took me two days to complete. I hand stitched the whole thing!!!! I really need to get myself a little sewing machine!! The other one took me a couple of hours.. and I also included some hand stitching which I thought added charm. I used Simple Stories Homespun collection, basically all I had left after finishing the Family Album I shared last time. I feel I managed to use modern papers and embellishments and still achieve an ´old fashioned´ look. Hope you like it!

Ains los gustos del veranito! Sin saber que día es ni tener que estar pendiente ni disponible las 24 horas del día! Estoy disfrutando de unos días en mi casita y hoy os enseño otro proyecto que llevé conmigo para regalar a mis padres. Hace unas semanas me llegaron unas fotos de los padres de mis padres (mis abuelos) y pensé que podía hacer unos layouts fabulosos! Los puse en unos marcos de vinillos de IKEA y se los lleve en la malete de mano! Pesaban una tonelada pero valió la pena! Les encantaron!
La primera me llevo 2 días de trabajo, hice el cosido entero a mano! Necesito una maquina de coser YA! La otra la terminé en un par de horas y tambíen le añadí costura. Use la collecíon de Simple Stories, Home Spun, basicamente lo que me sobró tras terminar el álbum de familia que os enseñe la última vez. Pienso que igualnete usando papeles y adornos modernos, he conseguido un look bastante enviejecido.. Espero que os guste!

For my father, para mi padre

The flower chipboard element is from My Mind´s Eye Market Street collection which I fell in love with! I have not bought the collection (yet) but I did get the chipboard elements and they blended wonderfully with the Simple Stories Homespun collection!      La flor es un adorno de la collecion de My Mind´s Eye - Market Street collection que me tiene enamorada. Todavía no he comprado los papeles pero no me he resistido a los die cuts de chipboard! Además van muy bien con la collecíon de Homespun.

For my mother, para mi madre

Mum loves hand crafts and patchwork and I wanted to create this patchwork effect as a background. I cut out squares out of patterned paper and sewed them on a Kraft cardstock.  A mi madre le encantan las manualidades asi que recorte cuadraditos de papel y los cosí en el fondo como si fuera una manta de patchwork.

Love Our Family Mini Album with TUTORIAL!!

Hola a tod@s y felíz domingo! Os escribo desde mi paraíso porque he vuelto a casita con mi familia unos días y estoy felíz felíz felíz!! Además hoy os traigo una entrada muy especial de un mini album que hice hace unas semanas pero que no os pude enseñar antes ya que era un regalo que hice a mis padres. Se los entregue en cuanto aterrice y aquí os enseño el resultado. Con este mini album os traigo un mega tutorial con el cual participo en el DT call que están haciendo en una tienda maravillosa llamada Cuquicosas. Hello and happy Sunday!! I am writing to you from my paradise since I have come back to my little island for a few days to be with my family and I am so so happy!! Today I am showing you a VERY special mini album I made as a gift for my parents and to whom I gave as soon as we landed. Buenos y veraniegos días amig@s blogger@s!

No he publicado muchas entradas en estos últimos días, no porque no he estado activa escrapeando, sino que todo lo que hacía era para regalar y no podía publicarlo antes!!! Precisamente ayer entregue el enésimo álbum de bebe para una cosita guapísima llamada Sara. Para este álbum utilcé un álbum de Chipboard (Carton) de la marca Dayka. No tenía mucho tiempo para liarme con encuadernaciones complicadas y además me apetecía hacer algo diferente. El resultado.. Aqui lo teneis! Tampoco tenía que comprar ninguna colleción de papeles para este proyecto ya que me sobraban bastantes cosas de álbumes de bebe previamente hechos, y aproveché un stack de papeles de Dear Lizzy que tenía abandonado. Espero que os guste! Vendrá mas muy prontito!!

Happy wonderful summer days dear blogger friends!

I haven't been publishing posts lately, not because I haven't been creatively active, but what I was working on were all gifts and I couldn't publish them before I actually gave them out! Yesterday we met sweet baby Sara and gave her this album I created using a DAYKA chipboard album as a base. I didnt have a lot of time to complicate myself with complicated binding techniques and I also felt like doing something different. I didn't even need to buy a paper collection since I had so many left overs from previous baby albums I had made and I also used a Dear Lizzy paper stack I had literally abandoned in my stash!

School is over!

Hello dear blogger friends,
I am soooo excited school days are over! We said good bye to the kids last Friday. A couple of weeks more of work and then off to summer holidays. Besides travelling, lazy days and visiting my family, what I´m really looking forward to is having time to scrap a bit more! I have been hoarding scrapbooking material like crazy these last few months... so I could really make use of some extra time to use up all my stash!
Today I am participating in yet another scrapbooking challenge by La Pareja Creativa where you can find all the details HERE The theme was free. There wasn´t even a sketch to follow this time! So I spent last Sunday experimenting with various ideas and this was the result! Hope you like it!

Estoy ilusionadísima que ya se han terminado los días del cole. Despedimos a nuestr@s alumn@s el viernes y ahora solo nos quedan un par de semanas hasta que empiecen las vacaciones!! Aparte de días tranquilos, viajes, ver a mi familia etc.. tengo ganas de tener algo mas de tiempo para escrapear. Llevo meses comprando material sin parar y necesito tiempo para empezar a ponerlo en uso!
Hoy estoy participando en otro reto, este vez de parte de La Pareja Creativa. No había ni tema ni sketch, iba por libre, así que el domingo pasado me senté a experimentar, y este fue el resultado! Espero que os guste! ;)

Saturday.. One day closer to the end of the school year.. One day closer to summer holidays! I went back to work yesterday and it felt like I had never left at all..!
Today I'm sharing yet another scrap competition, this time by Miss Scrap. You can check out all the info here. This one was slightly more challenging. The sketch called for paint or use of gesso.. And I'm not usually comfortable using this on my layouts.. I guess one part of me still resists mixing these two hobbies, Scrapbooking and painting.. But I did want to give it a shot. I had been dying to scrapbook this beautiful photo of my daughter and her amazing blue eyes.. 
This is my interpretation! Hope you like it!

Sábado.. Un día más cerca al final del año escolar..un día más cerca a las vacaciones de verano! Ayer volví a trabajar y me parecía que no me había ido nunca!
Hoy comparto otro reto, esta vez de Miss Scrap, donde podéis encontrar toda la info aquí! Me pareció algo más difícil ya que la plantilla pedía el uso de pintura o Gesso.. Y parte de mi todavía se resiste de mezclar estos dos hobbies de mi vida.. Pero quise intentarlo. Tenía unas ganas locas de escrapear esta foto de mi hija y sus maravillosos ojazos..

Second entry this week!! I am finally starting to get my energy and enthusiasm back and have created another layout to participate in another Scrapbooking competition by PlayScrap. You can check out all the details here.
This was such a lot of fun! We had to think of a place we would love to go to one day, cut out our silhouette and create a photomontage as if we were in this place. I had no doubts and chose Disneyworld with my darling daughter! A few months ago I even bought a paper collection with the Disney theme dreaming that one day I would have the opportunity to scrapbook a fantastic holiday.. We're still far from that.. But as PlayScrap suggested .. One can dream... Dreams are free!!!! :) hope you like my interpretation!

La secunda entrada está semana!! Por fin me esta volviendo la energía y el entusiasmo y he creado otro layout para participar en el reto de Playscrap y podéis encontrar toda la info aquí!
Fue súper divertido! Teníamos que pensar en un lugar donde nos encantaría ir algún día, recortar una silueta y pegarla en plan montaje como sí estuviéramos de verdad en este sitio! No tenía ninguna duda, el sueño más grande que tengo es llevar a mi hija a Disneyworld. De hecho hace unos mese hasta compre una collecion con el tema de disney soñando que algún día podría escrapear unas vacaciones de ensueño pasadas allí.. Todavía nos queda lejos... Pero como han sugerido en PlayScrap, una puede soñar.. Los sueños son gratis!!, :) espero que os gusta mi interpretación! Lo más divertido fue hacer las letras de purpurina ya que cogí thickers negras y las vesti de purpurina rojo porque me pareció muy apropiado!!

A quick short entry with my layout for the Gargamellscrap June competition which you can find in this link. The theme is summer and since we had a pre summer vacation last April in Denia I had some great pics to scrap book. I followed the sketch cos I loved the composition and this is the result! I made a mistake in the date in the written journaling and have no idea how to fix it! Suggestions appreciated!

Hoy una entrada cortita pero llena de color donde os muestro mi participación en el reto de Junio de Gargamellscrap y podéis encontrar toda la info aquí. El tema es Verano y como este año hemos tenido unas vacaciones verañegas antes de tiempo en Abril cuando nos fuimos a Denia, tenía unas fotos geniales para escrapear! Let's have a Smashing summer!!

Helloooooo dear bloggers. We are in JUNE and you know what that means right?? A month away from those very much needed holidays!! I'm still recovering from my pneumonia but thankfully I seem to be on the right track!
Being at home gave me time to surf my favourite online shops and get together my summer kit which is basically what I plan to take with me 'on the road'. Last year it worked great and the summer Smashbook turned out to be a lot of fun. You can check out the finished book here.
So this summer the plan is the same one, I got my new giant Smash book, a great paper collection and it's corresponding chipboard pieces and then loads of fun stickers and embellishments. I have put it all in one video and hopefully it will inspire you to do the same.. Grab a box, fill it with supplies and make the most of your free time these holidays!!!

Hola queridos blogger friends! Ya estamos en Junio y sabéis lo que quiere decir esto verdad?. Que ya vienen las vacaciones para muchos de nosotros!! Todavía estoy recuperandome de mi neumonía pero parece que esta avanzando por fin!
Estando estos días en casa me dio tiempo mirar un poco lo que había en mis tiendas favoritas online y preparar el kit que me voy a llevar conmigo estas vacaciones para poder escrapear. El año pasado hice lo mismo y me funciono genial, fue súper divertido hacer el smash book gigante . Aquí podéis ver el libro terminado! 
Este año tengo el mismo plan, me compre otro smash book gigante, una collecion monisima de papeles de verano con los chipboard y muchas muchas pegatinas divertidas y varios adornos. Lo grabe todo en un video que esperó os inspire a recopilar vuestro propio kit de verano y aprovechar de vuestro tiempo libre este verano!

Finally I am sharing with you today my 2013 Smash book and what I did is a flip through which I video taped and posted on my YouTube channel!! Hope you enjoy it!!
I´ve been terribly sick for the past 4 weeks with pneumonia but flipping through this book just reminded me what a great time I had working on this project and just how close summer is!
