Hola amig@s que tal?! Ya vino y paso Semana Santa y no solo no pude hacer nada de nada de scrap sino tampoco subí las últimas dos entradas que hice en colaboración con Cuquicosas y mi serie de Los Lunes De Layout! VAYA DESASTRE!!! Asi que aqui estoy hoy para rectificar!

Hello there world.

How are we all this week? I´m having a weird week to say the least but coping through it. We have amazing Spring weather in Spain and I have found myself complaining of the heat at work! Insane! It´s only March! My classroom gets sunlight all morning and it turns in to an unbearable oven by the time it´s 1pm. Add 30 kids sweating and talking in class and you can bake yourself a chicken!

Today I will show you a couple of layouts I did and I also have a process video for one of them. I used my January Hip Kit to make them and am loving these kits so far. They are jam packed and come right on time. My only problem is that I have such little time to dedicate to scrapbooking lately that they are piling up and its making me feel quite nervous and uncomfortable to see so much pretty stuff and not have time to use it. I will hopefully catch up a bit with my scrapbooking ´duties´in the coming Easter holidays! Can´t wait!

So here is the first layout I did and with this I have particpated in the weekly challenge for Hip Kit Club members where we had to scraplift an idea shown by one of the designers. 

I actually enjoyed doing this a lot and it came out quite quickly compared to other layouts I have done in the past. We had to follow a recipe and use parts from a cut out sheet, a frame and other things! The pictures where taken in Italy, I posed with one of the human statues in a street in Venice and all of a sudden he moved and planted a HUGE kiss on my face! I was so taken by surprize. That´s Italian passion for you! hehe

The second layout took me a bit more time and I actually filmed it so you can see the full process video here if you click on the video link at the bottom. I used tissue paper behind the picture to add some volume and also becuase it created quite a dreamy look to the layout and coordinated perfectly with the background paper with the clouds. 

 This is another picture from my trip to Italy were I had the opportunity to meet a dear dear friend of mine and have lunch with him whilst enjoying a lovely chat. Soul inspiring I must say. I really wanted to document this day as it meant a lot to me!

Los Lunes de Layout # 12 Nos inspiramos en el Project Life para crear nuestro Layout

 

Hola amig@s que tal estáis? Como va cambiando el día y el tiempo en general verdad! Poco a poco se van haciendo más largos los días. En el layout de hoy utilice una foto que tome en septiembre y me parece que solo fue ayer! ¡Pero NO! ¡Ha pasado ya lo peor del invierno! ¡Guau!

En el episodio de hoy hablamos de PROJECT LIFE: Project life es un sistema que invento la diseñadora Becky Higgins y es un sistema para poder conservar memorias de una forma cronológica y regular.

Hay taaaantas cosas bonitas que están hechas para el Project Life, estos álbumes tan bonitos, las tarjetas pre fabricadas que son un autentica monada y adornos que te ayudan a contar el día día. Ahora mismo en la tienda Cuquicosas estan todos los productos del Project Life MEGA REBAJADOS! ¡Aprovechad! 

Os enseño esta colección monísima de CHICKANIDDY CRAFTS que se llama Date Night y es una monada y además está a un precio increíble. Como siempre podéis pinchar en los nombres y os lleva directamente a la tienda de Cuquicosas y al producto que os interesa. 

Me inspire en un tipo de funda que han creado la marca Simple Stories que es esta que veis aquí y creo un layout utilizando tarjetas.

¡¿Hola chic@s que tal estamos?!  How are we today?!

Notáis que cada día nos acercamos mas a la primavera! ¡¡Que ganas de que pase ya este frió y que llega el verano! Bendito verano y vacaciones para los que tienen suerte tenerlas!

Here we are longinf for these cold winter days to be over.. Spring is right at the door and summer will come soon enough with those blessed summer holidays for those who are lucky enough to enjoy them!


En el episodio de hoy me atrevo a hablar de Scraplifting.. para l@s que no saben lo que es, es cuando haces una ´´copia´´ del trabajo de otros, sea utilizando el mismo material, o material distinto. Puede ser una copia perfecta o una versión personal de lo que viste.. Se puede copiar el trabajo entero o también una parte. 

In today´s episode we are going to have a look at what Scraplifting is, why it´s good and the right way to do it! Scraplifting is when you recreate a layout or part of a layout using someone else´s work as the bases of your idea. 

¡Y no pasa nada! Hacer un scraplift no es ni ilegal ni mal de ninguna forma! Es genial poder inspirarnos del trabajo de otros, y atrevernos hacer cosas o probar ideas que no se nos ocurren y que al final nos ayudan a ser mas creativ@s! 

Scraplifting doesn´t in any way mean we are less original or creative. It simply means we are inspired by others and at times due to so many things we have to do and places we have to be.. our energy level is at ZERO and our creativity goes down the drain as well and we need a little help to recover our inner creative soul. That´s when scraplifting comes really handy to get those creative juices flowing again. 

Os animo a probarlo y ya veréis que divertido! You should really give it a go!

¿Como se debe hacer?  How should we do it?
SIEMPRE hay que reconocer el trabajo de otros. El ´scraplift´ es malo solo cuando alguien se apodera de la idea de otro y lo llama suyo. Cuando nos inspiramos con el trabajo de alguien, hay que reconocérselo, sea en nuestro blog cuando publicamos cosas, o junto a la foto que publicamos, o en los vídeos que hacemos. Poner en la descripción el nombre del artista que tuvo la idea original, seguro que le anima mucho saber que han podido ayudar a otros con sus ideas.
You should ALWAYS acknowledge other people´s work and ideas and not post them as your own. Always try to link the person you have scraplifted and give as much info about the origianl as possible. For this entry I asked talented Victoria for her permission to let me show this and talk about this subject. #Kimidorishop Reto - Layout YOU AND ME

Hola querid@s! Hello there!

Hoy os traigo un layout de estos que vas soñando con ellos y hasta que no lo termines haciendo no te quedas tranquila. Pues eso ha sido el caso. La semana pasada estaba leyendo el blog de KIMIDORI y me encontré con el reto del mes.. Confetti! Inmediatamente sabia que foto quería utilizar y que técnica quería hacer! Ayer me puse manos a la obra y aquí va el resultado de lo cual estoy contentísima! 

Utilice los sequence de Teresa Collins como mi confeti y el resto de material es realmente mínimo! Hice un poco de ´scraplift´ de la ideas de Susie una scrapera inglesa que scrapea con lo mínimo de material y hace creaciones estupendas!!! 

También utilice un cacharito fabulo que compre en la misma tienda de Kimidori esta semana, y es una maquina de coser enana que va divinamente!!! Estoy contentísima con mi compra!

Here I am today with a special layout.These kind of layouts you dream about and just HAVE to do!! This was the case. I was surfing through the blog of KIMIDORI and came across the monthly challenge and was immediately inspired! Confetti! What fun! I knew exactly which photo I wanted to use and what I wanted to do with it! Yestreday whilst darling dauighter was watching ANNIE 1984 movie for the bagillion time, I sat down and here is the result of which I am really happy about! 

I used Teresa Collins sequence as my confetti and the rest of material I used is minimal! I scraplifted ideas from Susie Fishburne, an English girl who scrapbooks in an amazing low cost and original wonderful way! I have been so inspired by her this week. I also used techniques learnt from talented Irit Landgraf. 

So here goes! Hope you like my take on the challenge! 

Check out the video process as well. I tried to record a voiceover but the whole thing crashed and I gave up! So I put some funky Maltese music in the background by Wintermoods! ENJOY!

¡¡Hola y buenos días!! Hello dear friends!!!

¡Feliz Lunes y Feliz semana nueva!

Llevamos 10 episodios de Los Lunes De Layout y hoy vamos hacer un álbum para guardar nuestros layouts! Los álbumes que viene hechos para los layouts suelen ser bastante caros, de 15-20€ de media para uno normalita e incluso más caros. ¿A veces con todas las cosas monas que tenemos que comprar suele ser el producto que dejemos al final en nuestra lista de deseos verdad?

Pues hoy os traigo una forma sencilla y barata de hacer vuestros propios álbumes. En Cuquicosas lo vais a encontrar todo. Tampoco nos quitara mucho tiempo. En un par de horas tendréis un álbum precioso para guardar estas obras tan bonitas que estáis haciendo!

Para el álbum estrene la colección RHAPSODY BOP. ¿¿La habéis visto?? ¿NO? ¡Pues corred a la tienda! ¡Me tiene ENAMORADA! ¡Los colores, los diseños! Perfecta para San Valentín, niños, incluso la primavera.

Los Lunes de Layout Numero 10!!!!

Los Lunes de Layout #10 Hello Alejandra

Holaaaaaaa! Que ilusión! Esta es la entrada numero DIEZ!!! Guauuuu!!!! Me hace mucha ilusión seguir compartiendo este pequeño proyecto con vosotras y de verdad doy las gracias una infinidad de veces a Cuquicosas por esta oportunidad tan tan maravillosa! He ido experimentando y aprendiendo yo también con estos layouts y espero que hayan servido hasta ahora como una fuente de inspiración.. Mi granito de arena en este maravilloso mundo de Scrap! 

Hoy el layout se trata de mi nueva sobrinita Alejandra! ¡En las fotos se nos ve.. y casi se ve la baba cayendo jajajajaja! ¡La niña es preciosaaaaaa y se merecía un Layout todo suyo! Estoy utilizando lo ultimísimo que me queda de los papeles de Teresa Collins Nine and Co.

HIP KIT CLUB Design Team Call 2015

Hey there dear bloggers!!

 Today I am soooooo excited as I have finally made up my mind to participate for the Hip Kit Design Team call. A few weeks ago I showed you my new Kit subscription which I was so excited about, and today I am humbly presenting my work for this design team call. I have seen a LOT of amazing work out there and mine is just a little contribution to the lot. 
I have made a couple of layouts for the design team call and one of them includes a process video IN ENGLISH Wohooo! So here goes! Hope you enjoy my work and that it inspires you to create your own!

The First LAYOUT designed for the DT Call is titled DANCE FOR LIKE EVER! 

I basically used Hip Kit Club December KIT which I am truly loving. And the photo is gorgeous, it was shot by my cousin last summer and it SO captures my daughters constant tapping and dancing everywhere she is! I also find it beautiful in black an white since then all the colours you add around it just seem to merge beautifully.

The second layout I also did specifically for the design team call, not that I did not have layouts where to choose from but I was enjoying using the kits so much I just had to include this. Again, it´s all about my little LAURA and her beautiful shining smile. She truly is the light of my days! 

The layout is called ALWAYS IN MY HEART and YES, all of you HIP KIT CLUB members out there will definitely notice that I even used the beautiful blue paper packaging the kit comes enfolded in! I just loved it when I first saw it and made sure to put it away safely as I knew it would serve a purpose, and it did! I folded quite a chunk and it just added so much dimension and colour to the page! 

The idea was to create a sunburst, inspired by my daughters smile.. and I used my favourite Teresa Collins Mask and a Heidi Swap Mist to create the background. A bit of layering.. a heap of embellishments and voila! :) Laura really loved this one! 

The Amy Tangerine die cuts are a joy and so much fun to use and as the rest of the world I have to admit, I TOO am falling in love with those blessed puffy stickers! 

The third layout I presented was the Thanksgiving one I published a few months ago. That was one of the layouts I just had to present although for me it was a tough choice! So here goes. You have seen this before! :) Now wish me luck! Being a member of the HIPKIT Club design team would truly be a dream come true!!!!!!!!!! Will let you know how it goes and in the meantime, more process videos in English coming your way soon!  :)
