Who ever invented the words Lazy Sundays?

Who ever came up with the phrase.. Lazy Sundays, must have been from another planet. My Sundays are definitely NOT lazy.. it´s the day to catch up with everything, laundry, cleaning, scrapbooking projects.. Having a four year old who wakes you up at 7am is in a way quite an advantage.. You avoid the typical lie in and after a couple of coffees try to get to the job.. 
Well.. Today I bring to you a project I learnt at a crop a few weeks ago which I definitely made good use of since I did not one but 4 of the same thing but in different styles and different occasions. It´s a mini album which measures 27 x 15cm. At the crop we created one with three layers of pics for 24 photo mats or journaling spots. After the first two albums I decided to give it a little twist since I thought the photo mats were a bit small and changed the dimensions inside. The last two have space for 16 photo mats/journaling spots but are a bit larger. 

Quien surgió con la frase Lazy Sundays (Domingos Perezosos), debe de haber sido de otro planeta! Mis Domingos son definitivamente NO perezosos... es el día de ponerse al día con todo, lavadoras, limpieza, proyectos de scrapbooking. Tener una niña de cuatro años que te despierta a las 7 de la mañana es de una manera muy ventajoso. Evita que te quedas en la camita y después de un par de cafés tratas de empezar el día tachando cosas de tu lista de trabajo.
Así.. Hoy les traigo un proyecto que aprendí hacer hace un par de semanas en una crop (un evento donde se reúne gente y hace scrap) y de este proyecto hice buen uso porque hice nada menos que 4 de lo mismo pero con diferentes estilos y para diferentes ocasiones. 

Se trata de un mini álbum que mide 27 x 15cm y que lleva dentro tres capas para un total de 24 fotos. Después de los dos primeros álbumes, decidí darle un toque ya que me pareció que el sitio donde se ponen las fotos era un poco pequeño y cambié las dimensiones del interior. Los dos últimos tienen espacio para 16 fotos pero son mas grandes.

These were both given as a gift for communion.. a Boy and a Girl version for two lovely kids on their special day!

Later I was asked to do one for a of couple newly weds and it was then when I decided to change the size of the photo mats and include little details. 

Mas adelante me encargaron uno para una pareja recién casada y allí es donde decidí cambiar el tamaño de espacio para las fotos por dentro y añadir pequeños detallitos.

A Special Baby album.. Un album de bebe muy especial..

Happy Monday to all! I am particularly tired but very very happy today! Yesterday was my daughter´s birthday and we had a huge party! She was up at 4am and was so excited to see the whole house decorated with balloons! Seems like yesterday she came to this world but she is already four now! Time does fly! When a new baby comes to the world s/he brings with it so much joy and happiness. We ´´new´´ parents are always so excited to document very single second of the first few months. And this is what has inspired today´s blog entry. Baby Albums! I have a special one to show today.


Feliz lunes a todos! Hoy estoy muy cansada pero super feliz! Ayer fue el cumple de mi pequeña y tuvimos una fiesta enorme! Se despertó a las 4 de la mañana y estaba muy emocionada al ver toda la casa decorada con globos. Parece ayer que llegó a este mundo, pero acaba de cumplir cuatro anitos! El tiempo vuela!
Cuando nace un bebe trae consigo tanta felicidad. Nosotros padres primerizos queremos tomar fotos de todo lo que hacen en los primeros meses. Esto es lo que inspiró el blog de hoy.. Álbumes de bebe! Tengo uno muy especial que enseñaros!

I used an old pair of jeans for the front cover and loved doing the decoration on this. A cloth Polaroid frame and some embellishments and the result turned out really sweet!

Utilice unos vaqueros antiguos para la portada y me encanto decorarla. Un marco polaroid de tela, unos adornos y el resultado quedó muy dulce!

Inside, every page is unique, I left space for mummy and daddy to be able to put a lot of pics. The first page is dedicated to mummy and the pregnancy journey. I created a waterfall slide system so mummy can put the progress of her growing belly.

Por dentro cada pagina es única  Deje mucho sitio para que mama y papa puedan poner muchas fotos. La primera pagina está dedicada a mama y todo el camino del embarazo. Utilice el sistema de una cascada para que la mama pueda poner las fotos de la tripita creciendo y ver la evolución.

The album includes a page dedicated to the family tree, another one for baby bath time...

El álbum incluye la página dedicada a la familia, otro al bañito...

In one of the pages I created a onsie.. we all love baby onsies right? This one opens up for more photo space inside..

En una de las páginas puse un body de bebe.. a todos nos encantan estos bodies verdad? Esto se abre y hay sito para poner mas fotos por dentro..

First post - Father´s Day Mini Album

Hello everyone! So I had been wondering what to start off in my new blog. I knew I needed a space where to show the stuff I create and since EVERYBODY seems to have a blog.. well.. I just had to create one right? And here it is.. Los Papeles de Mama. 
It took me three days to stumble upon the right name.. and who finally gave me the inspiration? My four year old daughter of course. Every Saturday morning we sit down and we play with.. Los papeles de mama.. :) Too simple! GREAT! 
Hola todos! Llevaba tiempo dando vueltas con empezar mi propio blog, sabia que necesitaba un espacio para mis cositas de scrap y parece que TODO el mundo tiene un blog.. pues aquí esta! Los Papeles de Mama! 
Tardé tres días en encontrar el nombre perfecto y al final quien fue mi inspiración? Mi hija de 4 años claro.. Todos los sábados nos sentamos y jugamos con.. Los Papeles De Mama! Demasiado fácil! Perfecto!

I am starting off with a Father´s Day mini album. Here in Spain father´s day is celebrated in March but in Malta it comes a bit later so I´m still on time! This mini album is MINI.. it measures 10.5x10.5cm and is created on 4 executive envleopes.. folded.. sealed with washi tape.. and decorated..
Empiezo con un mini para el día del Padre. Aquí en España se celebra en Marzo pero en malta llega algo mas tarde así que todavía estoy a tiempo de enseñarlo! Este mini album es realmente MINI.. tiene el tamaño de 10.5 x 10.5 cm y esta creado usando 4 sobres plegados, sellados con washi.. y decorado...

 It´s a great little treasure since it allows lots of space for pics and journaling.. and it´s something our dear fathers can handle.. nothing too bright and fancy.. Just the right size!
Es un tesoro genial ya que aunque su tamaño es reducido deja mucho lugar a fotos y comentarios que queramos escribir.. nada que nuestros queridos papas puedan pensar que sea demasiado cursy.. el tamaño ideal!

 Of course .. it could be totally converted in a mother´s day.. hen party event, thank you teacher etc etc..  Possibilities as with everything in the world of scrapbooking are unlimited! 
Anyways.. hope you enjoyed my first post and got a bit inspired! I have NO idea if you can leave comments, subscribe or what not.. I am totally green in blogspot.. But I´ll make sure I´ll learn!

Claro.. podría ser un mini para el día de la madre.. despedida de soltera, gracias profe.. Las posibilidades son infinitas como todo el el mundo de Scrap!
