On Christmas Eve.... Ya es noche buena!!!

Happy Christmas friends! It´s Christmas eve and I have decided to take the morning off.... We woke up to a dark gloomy rainy day.. my daughter actually thinks it´s night time already.. She is so excited Santa is coming! 
I have my latest project today.. it´s FIVE years late... coz it´s my Honeymoon mini album.. But I have finally got around to it and completed it and I will give it to my husband as a gift tomorrow for Christmas! It´s my first paper bag mini album and I really like the feel and look of it.. It feels sturdy and gave me lots of space for all the honeymoon pics. Hope you like it!! Have a very blessed and Merry Christmas! Feliz Navidad!! Es noche buena y he decido no hacer nada de nada esta mañana! Nos hemos levantado a un día gríz y lluvioso.. mi hija se piensa que ya es de noche..! Espera a Santa Claus con muchas ganas este año!
Os traigo mi último proyecto.. con 5 años de retraso! Es un mini album de las fotos de mi viaje de novios.. Y se lo voy a regalar a mi marido para Navidad mañana! Es mi primer álbum hecho con bolsas de papel y me gusta como ha quedado. Es bien fuerte y tiene un montón de espacio para todas las fotos que quise ponerle! Espero que os guste.. Os hice un video en ESPAÑOL para mis queridas amigas españolas!!!! Después de las fotos abajo del todo están los dos videos, uno en español y el otro en inglés!

It´s THAT time of the year!!!

HO HO HO OH my God I have completely abandoned this blog since summer!!!! I have not had any time to update anything and practically no time to scrapbook! Well I am back!! Just in time for the best Season of the year!! CHRISTMAS!!! And its right around the corner actually!

So this year I was inspired by one of the Facebook groups I am part of to create my own December Daily.. Yet I wanted to take this idea a bit further and do a couple of them for my daughter´s teachers as a Christmas Gift. They obviously had to be very simple and plain inside since they are not scrapbookers. I am so pleased with the result!!! I went for a similiar style I used this summer to create a mini within a cottage like base. The roof detaches and you have the álbum to store in all your best memories of the season! Have a look at the video to see just how cute they are!

 

HOHOHO, dios mío que tenia este blog completamente abandonado desde este verano!!!! No he tenido ni pizca de tiempo de poner nada ni hacer nada! Pero vuelvo! y justo a tiempo para la mejor época del año! NAVIDAD!!!!

Este año me inspire de un grupo del face en que estoy metida para crear Diarios de Navidad. Quise hacer algo mas y hice dos Diarios para las dos profes de mi hija. Tenia que ser un diario muy sencillo ya que ellas no hace scrap. Me encanta como quedaron. Construí dos casitas, una es la casa de Papa Noel y la otra es la panadería del Polo Norte! El techo sale y es el mini donde irán poniendo sus fotitos de Navidad. También les sirve como decoración para la casa en época Navideña! Echar un vistazo al video aquí para verlos mejor!!

Aquí están, una era una caja de cereales de bebe y la otra una caja de pasta! Ahora son la casita de Papa Noel y la panadería del Polo Norte!

I tried to create the effect of snow on one of the roofs by using copious amounts of white glue with white embossing poder. Not bad as a result!
Intenté crear el efecto nieve en uno de los techos usando cola blanca y polvo de embossing blanco. No quedo nada mal! El otro techo ya tenia purpurina en el papel.

My take on Smash Book

Hello dear bloggers! I am feeling BETTER at last and wanted to give you a quick peek at an ongoing project I am working on this summer. A few months ago I decided I wanted to document happy summer days in some way but thought that doing layouts and taking enough material with me in my luggage for these layouts would be quite a pain.. So I opted for a summer smash book... BUT.. I wasn´t happy with the smaller Smash book.. I bought the XL Pocket Smash. It´s pages are almost a 12´´ x 12´´size if not bigger which is giving me loads of space for loads of fun pics I´m taking as I go along! The whole family is enjoying flipping through and by the time my husband reaches us on the island he will have a detailed record of what we girls have been up to.. which hasn´t been an awful lot due to my unfortunate surgery! I will paste a few pics of some of the pages and the basic material I packed up with me! Later on I will probably post a video with a flip through of the whole project so you can see the final result! Enjoy and summer kisses to all!

Hola amig@s blogeros! Por fin me encuentro mejor y quise enseñaros un proyecto que estoy trabajando este verano. Hace unos meses decidí que queria documetar los felices momentos de verano pero haciendo LO y llevando suficiente material en la maleta para hacerlos supondria un gran probelma.. así que opté por un Smash Book.. pero no el smash book común sino el que es EXTRA grande! Se llama Pocket smash y las hojas son casi mas grandes que una lamina de 30 x 30! Lo he estado rellenando de fotitos divertidas y cuando ya se junta mi maridin con nosotros en la islita podrá ver todo lo que nosotras chicas hemos hecho.. que no ha sido mucho dado la cirugía que tuve que hacer! Pondré algunas fotos y el material basico que me lleve conmigo para trabajar. Mas adelante creo que haré un video pasando las hojas para que podais ver el resultado final! Seguid disfrutando del verano! Besitos a tod@s!

I started off documenting my daughter´s end of school and extra curricular activities end of year festival which marked the beginning of summer. 
Empecé documentando los fesitivales de fin de curso de mi hija que practicamente es cuando empezó el verano para ella.

These Smash book pages were very simple large notebook pages which I dressed up with some of the beautiful papers from the EP Everyday Eclectic Collection I'm using. 
Estas hojas eran bastante simplecitas como hojas de cuaderno. Usé papeles de la collecíon Eeveryday Eclectic de EP para decorarlas.

A trip to Mac Donalds.. we have to celebrate the simple stuff right?

Scrap Therapy

 

Hello dear blogger friends, here I am with another project which has helped me in so many ways this week. I had to undergo a little surgery in my mouth (wisdom tooth extraction) but this one was wicked..!! Doc himself said he had never seen anything the likes of it.. 

So whilst on slow and very painful recovery I started and finished a project I had been dying to get my hands on ever since I missed out on a workshop a couple of months ago. It´s inspired by Elena of Pega Papel o tijeras who was in Madrid for a day and was giving a course on how to make an album ´´house´´. I was frustrated I had missed it but had been playing with the idea of giving it a shot on my own.. and here is the result which I am SO proud of! It turned exactly the way I wanted it.. perhaps even better! And it helped me keep my mind off the pain a bit! 

This house still does not have an owner.. so to all my dear Maltese clients.. make the most of delivery free charges whilst I am here in Malta! You can make small orders as well.. I´ll be more than happy to please! ;)

Hola querid@s amig@s bloggeros! Tuve que ser operada de una malvada muela de juicio.. y vaya muela! El cirujano dijo que no habia visto algo asi en su vida! Así que mientras me estoy recuperando lentamente entre dolor y dolor (porque duele que no veas!) hice este proyecto que tenia en la cabeza desde hace mucho tiempo, desde que Elena de Pega Papel o Tijeras visitó Madrid y no pude asistir a su taller.. pero ví lo que tenia planeado y sabia que tenia que intentarlo por mi cuenta.. y el resultado.. FANTASTICO! Me encantó hacerlo y me ayudo a no pensar en el dolor mientras estaba en ello. Espero que os gusté! 

The roof of the house lifts up to reveal the mini album inside which can hold ten 10X11cm photos and has space for journaling as well. 

The theme is an open one although I think it would be ideal for a love story of how a couple met etc.. The papers are vintage romantic and are a perfect match!
